A trial date has been set for one of two individuals charged with the murder of two teens and the attempted murder of another in 2023 in Pembroke over the Victoria Day weekend.
Court officials have confirmed that a preliminary hearing for Zacharie Robert Lamoureux, of Ottawa, is scheduled for December 2024. On May 30, 2023, Lamoureux, 21, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and attempt to commit murder using a firearm.
Noah Nathaniel Annis and Alando Omario Davidson, both 16 and from Mississauga, died from gunshot wounds following an incident on Monday, May 22, 2023 at a Mackay Street home. A third 16-year-old Mississauga teen was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the time of the incident, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP officials indicated they believed the victims were targeted.
On Jan. 10, 2024, a 17-year-old Ottawa male was arrested and also charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. His identity has not been released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
