Four people are facing charges following an alleged assault in downtown Pembroke Tuesday night.
Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to Pembroke Street West around 9 p.m. on March 12, where they located a 25-year-old male with a stab wound and other minor injuries. Police say the victim was transported to hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injuries.
Richard Adams, 38, of Laurentian Valley Township has been charged with: assault with a weapon; forcible confinement; and failure to comply with a prohibition order.
Meryl McGivern, 37, of Pembroke has been charged with: assault; forcible confinement; and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Jaclyn Shaffer, 43, of Killaloe has been charged with: assault with a weapon; and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
Jade Charlebois, 25, of Laurentian Valley Township has been charged with assault with a weapon.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
All four accused have been released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 15.
