Yesterday evening, Mayor Ron Gervais orchestrated a “meet and greet” session aimed at fostering an inclusive dialogue between the local council and community members. Gervais tells myFM why these events are important for the community.
During the event, Gervais emphasized the importance of transparency and engagement by sharing his thoughts and insights openly with attendees, encouraging an interactive exchange of ideas.
The gathering, which took place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Public Library in Pembroke, served as a platform for residents to voice their concerns, suggestions, and aspirations directly to the mayor. Gervais expressed his commitment to organizing similar gatherings in the future to sustain a continuous channel of communication between the council and the residents of Pembroke, thereby promoting civic participation and collaboration in local governance.
