Kevin Jones stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced and Liam Cardiff scored the game-winning goal early in the third period as the Pembroke Lumber Kings downed the Navan Grads 3-1 in game three of their CCHL quarter-final series. The Grads still lead the best of seven series two games to one, but the Kings are back in the series after suffering a tough 2-1 overtime loss in game two. The Kings now return home for game four with an opportunity to even the series.
Mikayil Kahriman and Sutton Murray also scored for the Kings, Murray’s goal into an empty net with 14 seconds remaining in the third period.
Game four will be a 7 p.m. start at the Pembroke Memorial Centre on Wednesday, March 27th. Navan still leads the series 2-1
