Last week, the Renfrew County branch of the Ontario SPCA conducted a MASH clinic at the Petawawa Legion. MASH, short for Mobile Animal Sterilization Hospital, introduces an innovative approach to spaying and neutering programs. These clinics involve transporting surgical equipment to unconventional venues like gymnasiums or community centers, where it is set up to create a temporary surgical space. Over the four days they were able to spay and neuter 110 cats, 50 males and 60 females.
