A local traffic control company is urging drivers in the Pembroke area to exercise caution and follow the instructions of signs and flaggers at the intersection near the Bulk Bin in Pembroke.
Several drivers have already been charged, says Melissa Case of C&C Services, and police are on site.
Traffic control measures are currently in place in Pembroke at the intersection of Pembroke Street East and Angus Campbell Drive for hydro pole replacement, she says.
“To ensure a safe working environment, the OPP are also present. Motorists are reminded to refrain from driving on the shoulder to reach their destinations more quickly, as this has led to one driver being charged already today. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and are working to minimize delays,” reads a social media notice.
