The anticipation is building as Riverside Beach gears up for its grand opening on June 14th at 12 p.m. With the summer season officially kicking off, locals and visitors alike can look forward to soaking up the sun and enjoying the cool waters of the beach.
This year, Riverside Park introduces an exciting addition to its summer lineup – swimming lessons! However, there’s a twist. Due to the depth of the water at Riverside Park, only private lessons will be offered. These sessions cater primarily to beginners, specifically swimmers in the Preschool age group (ages 3-5 years) and those in Swimmer levels 1 and 2. Please note that the water depth is not conducive to stroke correction or teaching older swimmers to the required standard.
In another exciting development, Riverside Beach will have lifeguards on duty daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., weather permitting. This added safety measure ensures that beachgoers can enjoy their time in the water with peace of mind.
For those eager to secure a spot in the July swimming lessons, online registration opens on June 10th at 9 a.m. Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment. Registration can be completed conveniently online or in person at the Parks and Recreation office. Keep an eye out for updates on registration for August sessions, coming soon!
Get ready to dive into summer fun at Riverside Beach – the ultimate destination for sun, sand, and swimming adventures!
