It’s a business synonymous with summer fun in the Ottawa Valley and some exciting new changes at Splash Valley Waterpark and Resort have upped the ante for this summer’s visitors.
Among the flashiest additions to the existing waterslides, splash pad, ziplines, campground and more? The largest floating water playground in eastern Ontario, which is installed and ready to go for this Saturday’s grand opening, and a massive 60-foot tall floating flamingo, which visitors should see in the near future.
Summerhill Resorts Ltd. has owned the former Logos Land since 2021 and, explains chief operating officer Paul Johnson, his company was quick to see the many attributes, including a crystal clear, spring-fed lake, a strong reputation as a well-run property and lots of repeat business, that make it a sure winner.
The property was already in phenomenal condition, said Johnson, crediting previous owners Jerry and Janet Paxton, who operated Logos Land for more than 20 years.
Summerhill’s goal was not to go in there and make significant changes overnight, he said, but to continue the Paxtons legacy and keep investing in the property.
In the past couple of years, a number of tenting sites have been enhanced to make them more RV friendly and 12 new rental accommodations – including bunkies and rustic and deluxe cabins – have been added.
The last six or seven months have been hectic and exciting with the biggest investment to date – upgrades to the beach, washrooms, slides, splashpad and mini golf.

Audio PlayerLogos Land has been a wonderful property for many years, but people like to see new things as well, said Johnson.
Audio PlayerJohnson also noted that safety is a top priority at Splash Valley.
He’s hoping to welcome a host of happy guests, returning visitors and new faces alike, to the resort this season.
