Deep River and District Health (DRDH) has begun construction on the new Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care Home. The contract for the 71,000-square-foot, two-story, 96-bed facility was awarded to Frecon Construction Limited after a thorough tendering process. Site preparation is underway, with full-scale construction set to continue over the next two years. Residents are expected to move in by 2027.
To celebrate, DRDH will host a groundbreaking ceremony this summer for the community, partners, and supporters.
“We are absolutely thrilled to enter the construction phase of this project,” said Janna Hotson, DRDH President and CEO. “Seeing the home take shape is an exciting moment for our entire community.”
The $56 million project aims to enhance local long-term care services. The community has shown strong support, raising over $1.8 million through the Closer to Home campaign, which seeks to fund furnishings and equipment. DRDH continues to encourage donations to reach the $2.5 million goal.
