Here is a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
Petawawa will mark Canada Day with a lively celebration featuring music, food, and activities on July 1st. The event will run from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Civic Centre. Attendees can enjoy a BBQ with refreshments and cake, children’s games, bouncers, various activities, and a fire department water slide. The day will be filled with live music from the Canadian Military Wives Choir and a performance by Sawmill Road.
Pembroke’s Canada Day kicks off Sunday, June 30th, with the free Roseburg Forest Products’ Great Canadian Lumberjack Show at Riverside Park, featuring shows at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Evening festivities include a free BBQ, Kung Fu lessons, a Bird of Prey show, Human Foosball, live music by Stereotypical, and a screening of “Kung Fu Panda 4.”
On July 1st, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Waterfront Park will host trampoline shows, vendors, a kid zone, boat rides, and a petting zoo. From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., enjoy music and a BBQ at the Legion. The celebration wraps up with Ghost Town Cryers performing at Riverside Park at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk. For safety, attendees should move behind the Kiwanis Pathway before 10:00 p.m.
