It’s been a huge week on the local baseball scene. This past week, the Upper Ottawa Valley Senior River Cats competed in the provincial championships in Oakville. The Cats earned a 12-9 win over the Oakville Whitecaps to move on to the Canadian Championships held in Ottawa this summer. The River Cats are now looking for anyone or any business that would like to become an additional sponsor to help cover the cost of sending the team to the National Championships. Anyone can email the Upper Ottawa Valley Little League for further information.
In other local baseball news, the Upper Ottawa Valley Junior River Cats recently competed in their divisional play-downs, defeating Mississippi Mills 12-2 to move onto the Provincial Championships in Cornwall.
