Today is all about camping, As its Tim Hortons 2024 Camp Day. All the money collected from coffee and iced coffee purchases at Tim Horton will go towards sending a child to camp.
Kate Ryan Hospitality Lead for the McCluskey Group of Tim Hortons tells myFM why this day means a lot to the employees and the community.
Ryan reminds the community that each location also has some fun activities going on as well. The West end Tim Horton is putting on the “manager pie in face competition”, the East end location is having Raymond play the bag pipes as customers enter the store and lastly, in Petawawa the Tim Horton on base is having the military soldiers serve customers. Ryan tells myFM that this year they have something that they’ve never done for Camp Day.
“Our goal is to try to do the best we can” said Ryan. The first Tim Horton Children’s Foundation camp opened in Parry Sound in 1975 with just 200 kids. Ryan explains why camp day was created.
Tim Horton Camp Day allows children to have a fun-filled summer and create new memories. Support your local Timmies and don’t forget to try the specialty donut!
