You won’t want to miss this event! The first ever Busker Fest is coming to Pembroke on August 9th and 10th. Starting off on Friday from 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at the Pembroke Amphitheatre and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. on the main street downtown Pembroke.
What is Busker Fest? Well, it is the name of traveling festivals of busker street performers. Buskers in the festivals visit a series of host cities each summer. Host cities often shut down one or more blocks of a prominent downtown street for the festival. A Busker is a person who performs music or other entertainment in the street or another public place for monetary donations.
MyFM sat down with Joanna Els, Board Chair Planning Committee for Busker Fest to talk about the event and what people can expect.
