There’s s $70 million jackpot plus an estimated $37 million in Maxmillions available to be won tonight (Aug. 9) in OLG’s Lotto Max draw.
“That’s $107 million in top LOTTO MAX prizing!” reads a press release. “Think about it: You have a total of 38 opportunities to win a life-changing amount of money in tonight’s draw, all for the price of a $5 Lotto Max ticket.”
OLG officials say with that much money on the line, Ontarians say they like to dream big.
“A lottery windfall is the number one fantasy for Ontarians – 38 per cent of Ontarians daydream about winning the lottery more often than any other daydream, including love interests or becoming famous,” reads the release. “In fact, 68 per cent of Ontarians say that the ‘dream of winning’ is the number one motivation for buying a lottery ticket.”
Fifty-seven per cent of Ontarians say they would use their winnings on experiences rather than on material goods.
Since April, OLG and Ontario have celebrated 4 LOTTO MAX jackpot wins! In the past 4 months alone, OLG has paid out a combined $265 million in LOTTO MAX jackpot winnings to lucky Ontarians.
