The County of Renfrew Department of Public Works and Engineering has provided notice about the road construction projects coming up in August.
These include:
- County Road 8 (Cobden Road), Township of Whitewater Region: The rehabilitation of Cobden Road, from Bulger Road to the urban limits of Cobden, is anticipated to commence the week of Aug. 12 and be completed in late-August. During construction, the road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in locations.
- County Road 73 (Deep River Road), Town of Deep River: The rehabilitation of Deep River Road, from Algonquin Street to Champlain Street, is anticipated to commence the week of Aug. 19 and be completed in mid-October. During construction, the road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in locations and short-term closures may be required with detours in place.
- County Road 512 (Foymount Road), Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan: The rehabilitation of Foymount Road, from Hubers Road to Palmer Road, is anticipated to commence the week of Sept. 2 and be completed in late-October. During construction, the road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in locations.
- County Road 515 (Palmer Road), Township of Madawaska Valley: The rehabilitation of Palmer Road, from Combermere Road to Finch Road, was expected to start the week of Aug. 5 and be completed in early September. During construction, the road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in locations.
- County Structure C062 (John Watson Culvert 2), Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan: The replacement of John Watson Culvert 2, located on John Watson Road, approximately 3.3 km west of Opeongo Road, is anticipated to commence the week of Aug. 12 and be completed in late August. During construction, the road at the structure will be limited to a single alternating lane of traffic.
