County of Renfrew crews are working to repair a washout on Rockingham Road (County Road 68) in Madawaska Valley.
The flooding occurred Aug. 18 and crews are expected to be working on the road today.
“The damage to County Road 68 (Rockingham Road) approximately 2 km from County Road 515 (Palmer Road) was caused when a beaver dam on private property blew out,” reads a public notice.
Motorist are advised to proceed with caution, follow the signage and slowdown in the area.
“We thank residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation as crews work to repair this washout,” reads the notice.
