Tributes are beginning to pour in following the death of James (Jim) McBain, owner and operator of Municipal Law Enforcement Services and the former chief of Renfrew’s former town police force.
McBain was reportedly killed while driving his motorcycle in a crash on Highway 41 Thursday.
“I want to express sincere condolences to Jim’s wife and partner, Darla, his family, friends and staff of MLES,” wrote Arnprior Mayor Lisa McGee in a post on the town’s Facebook page Friday. “Jim provided bylaw enforcement services to the Town of Arnprior for over 20 years and we were grateful for his compassionate and professional dedication to this often difficult job. Jim will be deeply missed.”
Flags at Arnprior’s town hall will be lowered in recognition of his service.
MLES provided bylaw enforcement services to a number of municipalities across the Ottawa Valley.
