Local police are warning ATV riders to be vigilant about wearing helmets and holding off on alcohol while operating their machines.
The Ontario Provincial Police SAVE (Snow-Vehicle, All Terrain Vehicle and Vessel Enforcement) team conducted an ATV patrol in Renfrew County on Saturday, Oct. 19.
“Unfortunately, several helmet and open alcohol in machine charges were issued,” reads an OPP post on X. “Please wait until you’re home or in a licensed place to consume alcohol. And we can’t stress this enough, HELMETS SAVE LIVES!”
