Michael Leo “Mike” Voisin passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Friday, November 1st, 2024 (All Saints Day) in his 81st year. Mike Voisin (Former Owner of Campbell Monument) of Pembroke, beloved husband of Sheila Voisin (nee Walsh). Loving father of Lianne (Chris) Learmonth, Pat (Trina), and Linda (Rob) Stewart. Caring grandfather of Braden (Jess) Wheeler, Lauren Wheeler, Samantha Stewart, Athalia Voisin, and Kaylynn Voisin. Dear brother of Jane (Jim) Reinhart, John (Eileen) Voisin. Dear brother-in-law of Clara Phillips, Dr. Fred Walsh, Anne Primeau, Leo (Sharon) Walsh, and Kathy Walsh. He is reunited in heaven with his parents Manfred and Anne Voisin (nee Dietrich), his son-in-law D’Arcy Wheeler, as well as many in-laws on the Walsh side. Sadly missed by Debbie Moss, and many nieces and nephews.
Mike and Sheila met in Hamilton while he was starting his career in the funeral business and Sheila was a registered nurse. That blind date started their incredible, brave journey of unconditional love for 57 years of marriage. Devoted to his wife, his family, his friends, his community, and his faith. Mike was an avid fisherman, golfer, and card player. Loved and respected by all who knew him.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Monday, November 4th, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Pembroke on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Holy Name Restoration Fund, MS Society of Canada, or St. Joseph’s Food Bank would be appreciated. Members of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1531 are requested to meet at the funeral home for prayers on Monday at 7 p.m., followed by the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Bishop Smith Assembly, Guard of Honour.
