The local job market continues to get a boost from one its most reliable partners. Community Employment Services – Algonquin College connects employers and employees.
Manager Lisa Benoit tells us it’s all about helping individual needs.
Benoit also says their services aren’t just for people looking for work.
They take a one-on-one approach to people looking for new opportunities. In some cases they need help with a resume or interview skills, while other may be looking to expand their possibilities through education.
Benoit says in order to make employment connections, they have to be there for area employers as well.
They also work with employers to help them fill certain positions, and other needs too.
An added bonus is they learn from one another and Community Employment Services can take experiences with job-seekers and employees to help them develop new skills and offerings.
