Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Barry’s Bay that resulted in one driver being sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident occurred on November 18, at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Highway 60. According to the investigation, a pickup truck collided with another pickup truck from behind.
One of the drivers was transported to the hospital by Renfrew County paramedics with minor injuries.
Following the collision, an 18-year-old driver from Round Lake was charged with careless driving and failing to wear a seatbelt under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The OPP continues to remind drivers of the importance of safe driving and seatbelt use to prevent accidents.
