The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment is asking the public for assistance in identifying three individuals connected to a break, enter, and theft at a jewellery store on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke.
The incident occurred on November 13, around 1:00 a.m., when police responded to an alarm at the store. Officers discovered signs of forced entry and theft. The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit were called in to track the suspects, but the individuals managed to flee the scene, likely in a nearby vehicle. During the search, stolen items from the store were recovered.
Police believe three people were involved in the crime. The suspects are described as follows:
- Subject 1: Wearing a white jacket with a large dark strip around the waist and dark sleeves on the forearms, and a black balaclava.
- Subject 2: Dressed in a red jacket with a large front pouch, a blue hoodie underneath, black pants, and white shoes.
- Subject 3: Wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The UOV OPP Crime Unit, with help from the Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), is continuing the investigation. Authorities are requesting anyone in the Pembroke Street East and Howard Street area who may have dash cam or security camera footage from between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on November 13, 2024, to come forward.
