The final event in the 2024 Taste of the Valley series, the Holiday Edition, will take place on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Renfrew Armouries. Organized by the County of Renfrew’s Economic Development Division, the event will feature over 80 vendors offering fresh local produce, handcrafted products, baked goods, jams, preserves, and prepared hot food from Renfrew County food producers, artists, and artisans.
Originally focused on supporting local food producers, Taste of the Valley has expanded to showcase a wide range of local products, art, and culture. This festive event provides an opportunity to shop for unique gifts while supporting local businesses. Visitors can find everything from one-of-a-kind handcrafted treasures to holiday essentials.
“Renfrew is thrilled to host this year’s Holiday Taste of the Valley, a vibrant celebration of our community’s creativity and talent,” says Janyne Fraser, Acting Director of Community and Recreation Services for the Town of Renfrew. “With over 80 unique vendors, this event is the perfect opportunity for shopping, connection, and holiday cheer!”
The 2024 series, which has been held in partnership with municipalities like Madawaska Valley, Killaloe, Hagarty, and Holiday Cheer and Local Treasures Await at Taste of the Valley in Renfrew!”Richards, Petawawa, and Whitewater Region, has drawn thousands of visitors from the Ottawa Valley and beyond. This year, the Town of Renfrew is hosting the final event of the series.
“Renfrew has a long history of hosting Taste of the Valley events, and we are excited to see the town’s offering with this Holiday Market. It will be a great chance for shoppers to find unique local products for themselves or as gifts this holiday season,” says Scott Hamilton, Economic Development Coordinator for the County of Renfrew’s Economic Development Division.
