The Eganville Leader is pleased to announce that it can resume its regular distribution schedule after Canada Post workers were ordered back to work. The Canada Industrial Relations Board issued the order after negotiations between Canada Post and the postal union reached an impasse. Canada Post will resume operations at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Originally, the Eganville Leader had planned to distribute 6,000 papers free of charge this week, on a first-come, first-served basis at local newsstands. However, with the postal strike resolved, the newspaper can now mail papers to subscribers and place them on newsstands as they have always done.
This development comes as a relief to both the newspaper’s team and its readers. The newspaper’s distribution will return to normal, ensuring that subscribers and newsstand customers receive their issues without further delay.
The Eganville Leader thanks the community for their patience and support during the strike and is excited to continue serving readers with timely news as usual.
