Stone Fence Theatre is bringing some holiday cheer with a special update for its fans. The beloved theatre company has launched a newly updated history page on their website, showcasing photos and descriptions of many of the shows they’ve developed since 2003. After months of construction, the page is now complete, giving fans a chance to relive the rich history of Stone Fence Theatre. The company invites everyone to explore this new feature and enjoy the memories from past productions.
Looking ahead to 2025, Stone Fence Theatre is set to relive a bit of its history with two exciting shows. First, the company will tour Miss Pringle’s Mini-Skirt by Johanna Zomers across the Ottawa Valley. This comedy will make stops in Rankin on April 27, Deep River on May 4, Arnprior on May 11, Maynooth on May 25, and Almonte on June 1. Fans of the theatre can look forward to enjoying the show in their communities.
In the summer and fall, Stone Fence Theatre will also bring back an updated version of one of their most popular productions, High Times at the Heart Institute, by Ish Theilheimer. Originally performed in 2016, this musical comedy is a humorous tribute to Canada’s health care system, inspired by Theilheimer’s own experience at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Given the current debates around healthcare, the return of this show is timely and promises to offer both laughter and reflection. Tickets for both shows will be available soon, with more details to come.
Before wrapping up for the year, Stone Fence Theatre encourages fans to become a Stone Fence Patron. Patrons are crucial to the theatre’s success, providing essential support throughout the years. Patrons receive early access to tickets, recognition in the program, a charitable tax receipt, and the satisfaction of helping to keep the arts alive in the Ottawa Valley. To become a patron, donations can be made online, by phone at 613-401-1997, or by mail.
As the year comes to a close, Stone Fence Theatre wishes everyone a joyful holiday season and looks forward to more wonderful shows and shared memories in 2025.
