The second annual Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign has wrapped up in Pembroke and Petawawa, raising an impressive $12,371.27 for the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH). This year’s campaign ran from November 18 to 24 and was a huge success, with a total of 16,495 cookies sold at five Tim Hortons locations in the area.
Andy Burns, co-owner of the McCluskey Group, which operates local Tim Hortons stores, shared his excitement about the campaign’s success. “We are very excited to partner with the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation for this year’s campaign! It makes us feel very good to know that funds raised will go directly towards critical pediatric equipment at the hospital that services our community and our teams.”
The funds raised will go towards purchasing a new pediatric crib for infants undergoing surgery at PRH. These cribs are essential for providing safe and comfortable care for the youngest patients during surgical procedures.
Roger Martin, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation, expressed gratitude for the community’s support. “We are honored to have been selected as the local charity partner for this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign in Pembroke and Petawawa. A big thank you to everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie and helped support local health care,” he said.
The success of the campaign was made possible thanks to the hard work of the Tim Hortons team, local volunteers, and the hospital staff, who decorated cookies, spread the word, and purchased cookies themselves. Mr. Martin added, “Our team at the Foundation and the entire hospital staff were so excited to help with this year’s fundraiser. Nothing is better than seeing all those smiling faces, especially the patients at PRH who will benefit directly from these donations.”
The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the hospital’s highest priority equipment needs, helping ensure the best care for local families. Thank you to everyone who supported the campaign and made it a sweet success!
