This heartwarming initiative highlights the generosity and care within the community, as well as the dedication of the OPP to fostering kindness and support. The 28th Annual Christmas Angel Program has seen remarkable growth over the years, with the number of Angels increasing from 340 in 2020 to a record-breaking 704 in 2024. This upward trend reflects not only the rising needs in the community but also the willingness of individuals and groups to step forward and make a difference.
The program’s operation is simple yet impactful: citizens select an “Angel” representing a child or adult in need, purchase a gift, and return it unwrapped to the OPP for distribution. By rallying community support, the initiative ensures that hundreds of people experience the joy of the holiday season, demonstrating the profound impact of collective goodwill.
