Mary Kathryn Arseneau passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary passed away peacefully in her home, during the early hours of Monday morning December 23, 2024. She was at peace and surrounded by the love of her family. Mary Arseneau (nee McLaughlin) was the beloved wife of the late Gerald ‘Jerry’ Arseneau. She is dearly loved and sorely missed by her sons Matthew Arseneau and David Arseneau and daughter Robyn (wife to Matthew). Mary was a loving second mother to Bernie Morton (Tricia), Michelle Pollock(Rob) and James Morton. Loving grandma to Dylan and Evan, Ethan, Wyatt, Daniel and Benjamin, Jack, Sabrina and Sophia and Julia and Lexie. Mary was a loved sister to Ronald McLaughlin (Valerie) and Robert McLaughlin (Wendy). Daughter of the late Wilbert and Ann (nee Berry) McLaughlin. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Mary was a gifted and beloved educator and cherished friend who truly enjoyed giving back to her community. Her family was her greatest love.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, on Friday January 10th 2025 from 6pm to 9 p.m. A second visitation will take place the morning of Saturday January 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Calvin United Church, Pembroke. Funeral Service to immediately follow at 11:00 am at the Calvin United Church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of her many communities of friends for their unwavering support. They would also like to
express their sincere gratitude to the PSW’s nurses and, support staff of Renfrew County HISH program for their care and compassion during both her and Jerry’s illnesses. In lieu of flowers, Mary requested donations be made to the Calvin United Church or the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation- Cancer Care Unit.
