Peavey Marts in Arnprior and Smiths Falls are among 22 locations that will be closed as part of restructuring.
The company announced the news on Tuesday, Jan. 21, saying the stores, located in Ontario and Nova Scotia, will close by the end of April 2025 and that the move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen operations and build a sustainable future.
“Peavey Industries recognizes the significant impact of this decision on employees, customers, and communities. The company expresses deep gratitude to employees for their hard work, resilience, and dedication. They have been the heart of Peavey Mart, and their contributions will always be valued. To loyal customers and communities, Peavey Industries offers sincere thanks for the trust and support shown over the years,” reads the statement.
Along with Arnprior and Smiths Falls, communities that will see stores close are: Bedford, Bowmanville, Brockville, Chatham, Collingwood, Cornwall, Goderich, Grimsby, Kingston, Kitchener, Lambeth, Mount Forest, New Liskeard, Sarnia, St. Catharines, St. Jacobs, St. Thomas, Sudbury, Woodstock, and Uxbridge. Additionally, the Rockland and Hyde Park locations, previously announced, will also be closing.
“Peavey Industries thanks all employees, customers, and partners for their understanding and support during this pivotal time,” reads the statement.
