February just got a little sweeter with Cupcake Day for the Ontario SPCA! On Monday, February 24, animal lovers across the region will bake, share, and raise vital funds to help animals in need. This fun event isn’t just about delicious treats—it’s an opportunity to support the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre, a registered charity that provides care, shelter, and second chances for animals.
Heather Jobe, Community Outreach Coordinator at the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre, encourages participants to get involved: “Pre-heat your oven, put on your apron and get ready to raise some dough to help animals in need. Cupcake Day is a fun and impactful way for people to come together and make a real difference for animals in their community.”
By hosting a cupcake party or bake sale, participants can raise much-needed funds for the animal centre, which relies on donations to continue its important work. Those interested can register at cupcakeday.ca to set up a personal fundraising page, get baking inspiration, and start planning their event. Whether you’re hosting a neighbourhood bake sale, a fun gathering with friends, or sharing treats at work, Cupcake Day is flexible and easy to participate in.
