On the 20th anniversary of the unsolved case, the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) issued a renewed appeal for information.
Police say the incident occurred, sometime between 8:05 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and that the investigation into what happened remains active.
Officers from the former Killaloe Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, other detachments and the Renfrew County OPP Crime Unit have followed up on multiple tips and leads over the years, but none have resulted in finding the person responsible.
“The investigation is now being conducted by the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service,” reads a recent OPP press release.
