The Beachburg Lions Club, founded over 70 years ago, has been a vital community service organization. The club, initially an all-male group, now welcomes both men and women. Its motto is “We Serve,” reflecting its commitment to helping the community through initiatives such as medical equipment loan programs, financial support for families in need, bursaries for students, disaster relief and so much more.
The current president, Debbie Radatz is in her second year of leadership, and has been a member for nearly a decade. Inspired by family values and her personal experiences, including witnessing the Lions’ support for a local hospice, she has dedicated herself to giving back to the community. Under her leadership, the club has continued to raise funds for important projects, organizing events like the chili cook-off, and assisting local families in need. The club remains a place for members to come together and make a tangible impact, embodying the spirit of volunteerism and service.
