A multi vehicle collision that had a portion of Hwy 17 closed for several hours on Thursday night has sent two people to hospital. One of the victims was reported to have suffered minor injuries while the other driver, a 21 year old was hospitalized with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities report that at roughly 4:45 pm Thursday, a collision between an SUV and a car occurred on Highway 17 between Cloutier and Deluthier Roads. Highway 17 was closed for several hours but was reopened shortly before 10:00 pm after MTO crews cleared the snow. There is no word yet as to the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
