Time is running out to join in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser happening on February 22nd. The Grind wants to remind the community that you can join a team, register a new team, donate and support to help people in the community who are less fortunate.
Deacon Adrien Chaput shares the reasons behind The Grind’s presence in the community, explaining its purpose and the impact it aims to have.
The event takes place on February 22nd this year and will raise funds to benefit those who are experiencing homelessness here in The Valley as well as anyone who simply needs a helping hand, especially during the cold winter months.
Last years event took in $113,000 and drew hundreds of volunteers who walked the streets of Pembroke with their team mates in support of those less fortunate.
Executive Director, Jerry Novack tells myFM how people can get involved with their biggest fundraiser of the year.
Organizers hope to eclipse previous years donations and turnout for this very important annual event. Chaput explains that there a number of staff and volunteers who help at The Grind everyday, making sure people have the essentials.
