March break is a terrific time for kids and adults alike to discover or rediscover the Pembroke Library.
Anusha Arulnanthi, Programming and Outreach Co-ordinator for the library says that the whole week is filled with activities that appeal to everyone in some way and it’s a great time to see what the library has to offer.
While the week so far and the remainder of the March break are packed with all sorts of fun goings on, Anusha is particularly excited about a unique happening this coming Saturday:
The life sized Candy Land guided tour gets under way Saturday morning March 15th at 10:30AM and it runs until 12:30 PM but you can drop by anytime up until 4PM to get a look at the decorations.
In the digital age it seems the printed book is something of a relic to many young folks today with cell phones and tablets being the preferred medium of choice. Anusha is well aware of this trend and has an interesting modern take on this reality:
Anusha’s enthusiasm for the library and what it represents to the community is clear as since 2019 and right through COVID she continues to provide programs and events that keep the library a vibrant and meaningful place to be.
Drop in tonight March 12th at 6:30PM for a “Glow In the Dark Story Time” or feel free to stop in anytime you need a place to catch up on your reading or just to enjoy one of Pembroke’s many community treasures.
