Gallant Says Election Call Long Overdue

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant is hoping to be re-elected in the new riding of Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke on April 28th.

Gallant says the newly-minted Liberal leader isn’t the shiniest penny in the jar.

The local member says the Liberals are hoping a few snide remarks from the U.S. President will help deflect attention from their own mountains of misspending.

Gallant says any magic wand-waving from Mark Carney doesn’t make the Liberal carbon tax disappear.

The Federal Election will be formally called on Sunday, and voting day will be April 28th.
