
The opening home game of the first round playoff series between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and The Smiths Falls Bears began with a special ceremony this past Sunday night.
Before the faceoff ,Owner and Head Coach Alex Armstrong presented each member of the Bramburger family with a commemorative Lumber Kings jersey.
Before a hushed PMC crowd of nearly 800, Team Trainer and long time broadcasting partner with Bramburger Kyle Robinson stood at a podium on the ice alongside the family and read a heartfelt speech in which he expressed how much Jamie meant to the Team and the PMC itself over the decades.
Audio PlayerBramburger was laid to rest last week but the condolences to family and stories of his impactful life continue to make their way through the Pembroke community, who have still not yet come to terms with the incredible loss of such a beloved local personality.
The Lumber Kings are currently tied one game apiece in the playoff series against the Smiths Falls Bears. Game three goes Tuesday, March 25th at 7:30 in Smiths Falls. The action returns to The PMC for game four on Wednesday, March 26th at 7PM. Plenty of tickets for home games are available at the PMC box office.
