The Pembroke Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Reynolds Ave on March 22nd, at approximately 2:20 AM.
The fire had already engulfed the first and second floors when crews arrived and they were able to bring the fire under control quickly although the building sustained significant heat and smoke damage.
Working smoke alarms resulted in early detection allowing the lone occupant and a pet to exit the building without harm. The PFD says that there are no signs of foul play and they thank the OPP, Renfrew Count Paramedics , ORPC and The Red Cross for their support during this incident.
