The County of Renfrew is advising the public that Matawatchan Road (County Road 71) in Greater Madawaska Township will be closed to all traffic from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. from March 24-28 as part of road rehabilitation efforts.
The portion of road that’s affected is from 4444 Matawatchan Rd. to Camel Chute Lane.
“This is part of the larger rehabilitation project which will require single-lane closures at times until April 11, in addition to some full closures,” reads a notice from the county. “We thank residents and motorists in advance for their patience and cooperation as we undertake this important infrastructure project.”
