
Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police say an individual is in police custody in relation to an armed robbery at a restaurant in Pembroke on March 24.
“Police arrested the man on Lake Street in Pembroke at approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 24,” reads on OPP press release. “Charges are pending and the individual remains in custody to await a bail hearing on March 25. Police have not recovered the firearm used in the robbery at this time.”
UOV OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with the assistance of OPP’s Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU). OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit were also engaged at the outset to assist with the investigation.
