The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is developing its next Strategic Plan (2026-2030) and is inviting students, families, staff, and community organizations to
participate in consultation sessions across the district.
The Strategic Plan is the RCDSB’s guiding document, setting the priorities and direction for the next four years. Approved by the Board of Trustees, it informs decisions about student
learning, programming, and resources across all RCDSB schools. This is the public’s best opportunity to help shape the future of education in Renfrew County by sharing experiences,
insights, and priorities.
“We want to ensure our next Strategic Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of the communities we serve” said Leo Boland, Chair of Renfrew County District School Board. “This is a participatory process, which is why we are hosting in-person consultations across the district—to have meaningful conversations with students, families, staff, and local organizations about what matters most for student success.”
During these sessions, participants will:
● Learn about the Strategic Plan and its role in shaping education in Renfrew County
● Share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations for local schools
● Help identify priorities that will guide student learning and well-being
● Collaborate to build a stronger, more inclusive education system
Consultation sessions are being held across seven communities in Renfrew County, with dedicated sessions for families, students, staff, and community organizations. Families should check their
email for details on their local session.
Community organizations that have not yet received an invitation but would like to participate are encouraged to email strategicplanning@rcdsb.on.ca to receive details on the consultation session nearest to them.
