The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment is investigating a serious single-vehicle collision that occurred on Pembroke St. West in Pembroke on March 21.
At just after 3:30 a.m., OPP officers responded to the scene, along with Pembroke Fire and Renfrew County Paramedics. Four people were in the vehicle, with three taken to a local hospital for treatment. The fourth occupant left the scene before police arrived. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening.
The collision caused significant traffic disruptions, as a hydro pole was knocked down, prompting the OPP to set up a detour. The detour remained in place for about three hours while crews cleared the area.
