
On March 30, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment responded to a break-in in progress at a residence on Pembroke Street West in Pembroke. The suspect had gained entry, leading to a struggle with the occupant. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police arrested 35-year-old Chantal Anderson of Pembroke at the scene. She faces charges of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and failure to comply with a probation order under the Criminal Code. Anderson was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 22.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the UOV OPP to ensure the safety and security of residents in the Pembroke area.
