A recent spate of deadly fires in the vicinity has Pembroke Fire Chief Scott Selle worried. What’s most troubling to the veteran firefighter is the fact that so many of these fires don’t necessarily have to end in loss of life. His message is pretty simple:

One could make it a teaching moment for a child to show them how to swap out a battery, explain how it works and perhaps even what the consequences might be by turning a blind eye.
