Mary Sonia Duff passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at the age of 85. Sonia Duff (nee McGuire) of Pembroke, beloved wife of Michael “Harry” Duff. Loving mother of Deborah Duff (Shawn Menard), Tracey (Kelly) Williams and Wayne (Mary) Duff. Grandmother of Zachary (Michaela Lunn), Megan, Holly, Grace, Nolan, Maeve and Regan. Sister of Estelle (Denis) Dupont, Pauline Ryan (Al Trottier), Janey Morin, Peter (Cheryl) McGuire, Sam (Elaine) McGuire. Sister-in-law of Patsy. Predeceased by granddaughter Allison, by parents Thomas and Mary Mcguire (nee Mcguire), by siblings Jack and Buddy (Theresa) and by brother-in-laws Louis and Mike. Sadly missed by many extended Duff family, and many nieces and nephews.
Respecting Sonia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, Pembroke on Thursday, April 24th, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columbkille’s Cathedral on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, St. Joseph.
