There’s a lot of fun activities planned at the Champlain Trail Museum over the March Break.
Museum Director and Curator Angela Siebarth says they have a sold out event on Monday where children can make a bird feeder, do a family tree activity, make a thaumatrope and learn how to make candles.
Siebarth says there’s an Amazing Race program taking place on Wednesday (March 16th) for kids between seven and twelve years of age. Siebarth says kids complete fun challenges while learning about local history.
She adds the Shoebox Archaeology program in partnership with the Pembroke Public Library that will take place on Friday is also sold out.
This is the first in-person March Break programming offered at the Champlain Trail Museum since 2019 as COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift in Ontario.
Siebarth says the Museum will also be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 am. to 4:00 p.m with admission by donation.
On March 23rd, there will be an Ottawa Valley Historical Society general meeting at the museum starting at 7:00pm.
Siebarth says anyone looking to become a member or join the board of directors is welcome to attend.
