If you’re heading to a Pembroke City Hall or another public building on Monday March 21st, you won’t need to wear a mask to get in.
Masks will no longer be required to enter public buildings and facilities. This comes as the provincial government is dropping most of it’s COVID restrictions Monday.
Even so, Heather Sutherland, the Emergency Information Officer for the City, let myFM know that Pembroke still encourages the use of masks especially for those who are at high risk for viral infections.
Sutherland adds that staff will continue to keep six feet apart and wear face masks for the time being.
That’s because COVID case numbers in Renfrew County tend to lag behind large populations like Ottawa, and while local numbers have been going down that could change in the near future.
