An update on the Arboretum coming to Pembroke’s waterfront. Fred Blackstein who is on the committee for the project provided council an update this week. Saying that $45,000 in donations is making the feature to possible.
He says the job will take awhile to complete, but the pieces are coming together.
Blackstein also noted that there are a number of community organizations that are helping with the project. Including the Pembroke Kiwanis Club, Algonquin College, both Pembroke High Schools and the Pembroke Public Library just to name a few. Thanks to those partnerships, one structure is now located at the waterfront.
