Township Councillor Chris Pleau has announced his intentions and filed papers to run for the Reeve of Laurentian Valley in the upcoming municipal election. Pleau says Laurentian Valley is growing and he wants to help improve and have an opinion on what happens in the Township.
Pleau was elected as a councillor for Laurentian Valley in 2018. Pleau says hopes to continue the great work of current and past Reeves of the Township.
In Laurentian Valley, the Reeve also represents the Township for the County of Renfrew. Pleau says he has a passion for municipal politics, Community Services, Development and Property and Health Care.
Pleau says he looks forward to the continued opportunity to represent Laurentian Valley.
Residents in Laurentian Valley will elect one Mayor, one Reeve and five Township Councillors as part of the October 22nd municipal election.
Last week, the current Reeve of Laurentian Valley and Renfrew County Warden Debbie Robinson announced her plans to step back from municipal politics after a 16-year career.
