Krista St. Louis from Pembroke has won the grand prize as part of the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) Foundation Spring Lotto for healthcare.
The winner was announced this afternoon (June 16th, 2022) at Dick Plummer Marine.
Roger Martin, the Executive Director of the Hospital Foundation, tells myFM she will get to pick between a brand new Prince Craft pontoon boat or $35,000 in cash.
He adds it was a life changing day for the winner, but more importantly, money raised will go towards the Cancer Care Campaign at the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Martin says the Spring Lotto raised $133,900 to help keep cancer care closer to home.
It was a great day to give away a boat as temperatures soared to 37 degrees with the humidex. Martin didn’t rule out the possibility of giving away another boat next spring.
This was the second edition of the PRH Spring Lotto and the fundraiser has helped bring in over $360,000 in the last two years for the Cancer Care Campaign.
Donations to support the campaign at the Pembroke Regional Hospital can be made online.
